Accident Involving Semi Truck and Sedan Leaves Driver Dead
At around 6:15 PM, an accident involving a semi-truck and sedan took place on Sandwich Rd. The Massachusetts Department of Transportation reported that both lanes of traffic between the Bourne and Sagamore bridge were closed.
Initial reports from the Massachusetts Department of Transportation stated that serious injuries had occurred at the accident. However, Bourne police later reported the driver of the sedan had been killed in the accident. Bourne police are still investigating the cause of the accident.
