Show True Love this Valentine’s Day

logo (1)The StangerLaw LLC Hartford Loves Love Campaign aims to support My Sisters’ Place, a shelter for people who have found themselves homeless due to domestic violence, eviction, unemployment or mental illness – the overwhelming majority often women and children.

About the Campaign

loveslovelogo2The campaign is simple. My Sisters’ Place has been supporting the Hartford community for a very long time, and we want to help give back to show that Hartford supports them. They need the help of our community to provide them extra resources they simply don’t have the budget for. This Valentine’s Day, we’ve partnered with My Sisters’ Place to provide their residents with needed donations and Valentine’s Day cards to show them they are loved in the Hartford community.

We’re Matching Your Donations!

matchingStangerLaw LLC is MATCHING the approximate retail value of everything you donate! We will have a third-party value all of the donations, and then write a check in that amount to My Sister’s Place. This will allow them to still receive your donations, as well as give them a monetary donation to help out in different areas of the organization. Additionally, all staff members of StangerLaw LLC will be sending cards as well!

How to Donate

  1. Choose Your Donation
    My Sisters’ Place accepts donations of all kinds. However, they are often in need of specific items that you may not think of as a typical donation. Please select an item from the list below:- Lamps (standing or table)
    – Lightbulbs
    – New Pots and Pans (sets preferred but not necessary)
    – Air Fresheners (aerosol or plug-in)
    – Umbrellas
    – Trash and Contractors Bags
    – Laundry & Cleaning supplies
    – Bath Towels
    – Feminine Pads
    – Antibacterial Wipes
    – Hand Sanitizer
    – New Twin Sheets and Bedspreads
    – New Bathroom Items (towels, small rugs, shower curtains & liners)
    – Under Bed Storage Containers
    – Regular Storage Containers
    – Can openers
    – Toasters
    – Dish Drainers
    – Personal Care Items
    – Diapers
  2. Write a Greeting Card
    Go to the grocery store and buy a card. Print one off your computer. Make one out of construction paper. It does not matter. Then, write a message to show your support. Show the receiver of the card that love is out there, and there is hope on the horizon. Here is an example (click image for full size):

    NOTE: Please do not seal the envelope. All card messages must be reviewed by StangerLaw LLC and My Sisters’ Place before delivery.
  3. Drop-Off at StangerLaw LLC
    Please visit us in West Hartford to drop off your donation and card. We will then deliver all donations and cards on Valentine’s Day to show the support of residents at My Sisters’ Place. Our address is:

  5. Feel the Love
    Valentine’s Day is about showing how much your loved one means to you. Sometimes, you may not even know your loved ones. This is your chance to show your love for anyone who has been affected by homelessness domestic violence, eviction, unemployment or mental illness. Hartford is a kind and loving place built on values and community. Show your love for the people in our community who need it the most, and donate today!
